Situation:

Premier Research, a leading global contract research organization (CRO) serving biotech, pharmaceutical and medical technology companies, engaged Lumentus to bring their new corporate vision to life.

 

Goals/Objectives:

Communications efforts focused on corporate, business unit and service offerings that would strengthen perceptions of the Premier Research brand with drug development customers in Pediatrics, Analgesia and Rare Diseases – therapeutic areas central to the success of the organization.

 

Tactics Employed:

Given the scope of the engagement, Lumentus developed a multi-phased approach. First, Lumentus created a corporate communications messaging platform that highlighted Premier Research’s focus on serving clients with specialized clinical research needs.

Following that work, the team developed integrated marketing program elements highlighting the client’s expertise in conducting Pediatrics, Analgesia and Rare Diseases trials, including:

  • Logo development, corporate graphic standards and identity manual, website design
  • Opinion polls, white papers and an aggressive media relations campaign
  • Social media assets were closely managed, from content curation to scheduling to optimize engagement
  • A digital and non-traditional advertising program was planned, executed and monitored, including email marketing, newsletter sponsorships and display advertising in select trade media outlets

 

Results Achieved:

  • Increased sales with quality leads generated at trade shows and invitations to bid on more customer projects
  • Built a following on LinkedIn with growth from 800 to 20,000+ followers currently and have built traction on Twitter
  • Significantly increased key trade media coverage with nearly 1 million annual trade media impressions
  • Generated positive internal and external response to refreshed branding
  • Ranked as one of the top 10 social media influencers by the World Orphan Drug Congress
