Eric Schultz

Eric Schultz, Director of Strategic Communications for Lumentus, is a content strategy and messaging specialist who designs and executes communications programs for clients across various industries, including financial services and life sciences.

With more than a decade of experience in the broadcast and digital news industry, he leverages his strong first-hand knowledge to inform his counsel.  Before joining Lumentus, Eric was an associate director and the senior U.S. media strategist for Portland Communications, where he also wrote and produced content.

Eric leads accounts that focus on branding, engagement, high-level media insight, executive media training, as well as placement across print, broadcast and digital platforms.  He plays an integral role in creating overall communications strategies, newsworthy concepts, and specialized strategy presentations.

Eric also advises on how to best position and pitch clients seeking earned media for projects, events and reactions to relevant stories in the news. Through direct outreach to key decision-makers at national and local media outlets, he effectively advances client agendas.

Eric had previously pursued a career in journalism, producing influential live television shows at CNBC, MSNBC, Bloomberg, CNN and Fox 5 New York.  He holds a Bachelor degree in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science from the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
