Maria Kalligeros, Senior Consultant, has created and led strategic public relations and corporate social responsibility programs for top marketers such as Target Stores, Godiva Chocolatier, Canon U.S.A., Duracell, Mercedes-Benz USA, Avon, Liz Claiborne and Girl Scouts of the USA.

Under her leadership, Maria’s clients have won more than 65 industry awards, including a SABRE Lifetime Achievement Award with Liz Claiborne for the “Women’s Work” domestic violence awareness campaign. She has developed cause-marketing programs for a variety of marketers and this work is cited as an exemplary example of the discipline in “Brand Spirit: How Cause-Related Marketing Builds Brands.”

Maria holds a Bachelor of Arts in communications from Hunter College. She sits on the Marketing Committee of the Food Bank of New York City and has served on the board of New York Women in Communications. She also served as Secretary on the board of The Foundation of Women Executives in Public Relations and co-chaired that organization’s Crystal Obelisk Award for Social Responsibility.

Maria is a member of the PRSA and its Counselor’s Academy. She is a PRSA Silver Anvil, NY PRSA Big Apple and SABRE Award judge.
