Eric Schultz, Director of Strategic Communications for Lumentus, is a messaging specialist who designs and executes communications strategies for clients across various industries. With more than a decade of experience in the broadcast and digital news industry, he leans on that first hand knowledge to inform his counsel. Eric joins us from Portland Communications where he was an Associate Director and Senior Media Strategist, writer and content producer for the New York and Washington, D.C. offices.
Eric leads accounts that focus on branding, engagement, high-level media insight, executive media training, as well as placement across print, broadcast and digital platforms. He plays an integral role in creating overall communications strategies, newsworthy concepts, and specialized strategy presentations.
Eric also advises on how to best position and pitch clients seeking earned media for projects, events and reactions to relevant stories in the news. Through direct outreach to key decision-makers at national and local media outlets, he is able to effectively advance client agendas.
Eric has produced influential live television shows at CNBC, MSNBC, Bloomberg, CNN and Fox 5 New York. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science from the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
