We bring a particularly deep familiarity with vertical and niche trade media vehicles across a diversity of industries – from oil & gas and healthcare to financial services and electrical and electronic devices.
The Lumentus in-house media group handles planning for virtually all of our clients. The group purchases all media; in certain circumstances, network television purchases are achieved with a larger media buying partner to best leverage buying strengths and optimize pricing.
The most efficient and effective media plans are crafted using the best media research resources. In this regard, Lumentus has access to a complete and up-to-date media research tool kit including the latest syndicated media research for cost and audience data.
Changing Media Habits
The trend for all media usage continues to show the Internet — including websites, search engines and Social Networking — growing at a faster pace than any other media in history. It took nearly 20 years for television to reach the same market penetration as the Internet did in less than three. Further, a Nielsen Lab Study has reported that TV engages people half as long as “second screen” digital devices (tablets, smartphones, laptops). Given such monumental shifts in media habits, our integrated thinking is essential to maximizing reach, frequency and efficiency in the media plans we build for clients.
With extensive media buying experience, we bring a deep understanding of buyer-seller dynamics and have developed strong relationships with media sellers. Our experience includes work for a firm that markets its services to big pharmaceutical and biotech companies, for whom we were able to negotiate gift subscriptions of a key trade newsletter at a greatly reduced rate. In this instance, the client’s target list of key customers/prospects was merged with the publication’s subscriber list to eliminate duplication, and the publisher paid for all production related to the gift subscriptions.
